Configuration of nic's lost after 5.0.10 update

hi,
I had a problem this weekend with my Astaro Box (at that time 5.0.9), after up2date had prefetched the 5.0.10 update, i installed the update. Although i was not necessary, i rebooted my firewall and when astaro came back online, the configuration of my internet-nic was lost; i checked a few things using ssh and eg 'ifconfig' showed me only 'eth0', 'eth1' and 'lo'-interface, although there is a third interface 'eth2' for my internetconnection. Of course after this nothing was working like it should be; I don't know if it has something to do with the 5.0.10 update... but i had to reinstall (i used the 5.0.10 iso) and restore my config. 2 questions:
- if this happens; where can i find the configuration settings of the nics
- what can be the cause of this; i don't like the idea that after an update it is possible that i have to reinstall my box again...

    Tim, there are almost always known issues, it's just whether the issues are serious or not.  We're deploying 5.011 without heart-stopping problems, and the general consensus seems to be that 5.011 is the update that finally made v5 stable enough to install in a production environment.  I think you'll be fine with 5.011, but if you want to know what all the latest open issues are, check the "Known Issues" documentation at http://docs.astaro.org

    As far as your problem with your installation goes, I'd suggest you download the 5.010 ISO and the 5.011 up2date (both from ftp.astaro.com) and work from there.  What we had to do yesterday on an install to get it right was to install fresh from the 5.010 ISO, then apply the 5.011 update, and THEN apply the v4 backup file.  If you're upgrading from v4 to v5, be sure to wait until 5.011 is installed before importing the backup from v4, because the conversion program in earlier versions of v5 is flaky.  If you don't have the 5.011 update on disk and you must download it as an online up2date, then what you need to do is apply the v4 backup, then do the online up2date, then reapply the v4 backup.
