Tried V5 a couple of updates ago but could not get the PPPoE line up and running.
Tried once more today with a fresh V5.010 ISO, with the same result.
Totally done three installs of V5 today, all wich has ended with different sets of problems. Most critically down PPPoE.
Going back to V4.17+ until the ram arrive.
Do any have the same problems with PPPoE, or a solution ?
Due to slow response, and loosing connection with the webadmin I did not manage to get to the logs.
My Hardware:
PIII 733 Mhz
MSI Micro w/ 128 MB ( 512 in the end of the week )
3 x 3c905
1 x Realtek onboard ( used for the ADSL )
60 GB IBM Hard drive
CD ROM
Trouble list
-Extremly slow response ( Guess it's from the ram shortage )
-Trouble getting response from the ASL at all with V5
-PPPoE Interface allways down when the box is working
-Local interface sporadically reported as down, even while logged in true webadmin with local interface.
Most of these problems I have seen reported early'r, but I can not find any relevant info on the PPPoE problems.
Espesially since I install V4.17, load backup, and it is up and running within 10 seconds.
Need V5 for the QoS Bandwith split functionality, but the V5 seems faulty as a product in comparison to V4.
