Spoof MAC Address.

Certain Internet Providers continue to lock service down to a certain MAC address. If you change an Ethernet card and therefore a MAC address then one has to report this to the provider who will update their records. Is there an easy way to spoof the MAC address on ASL 5.x by modifying a file or other means?

Yes, you can edit /etc/init.d/initnics and add: ifconfig eth1 hw ether XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
That should work.

the possibility to add this via webadmin would be usefull. most modern hardware firewalls can do this via their webinterface.

Yes, it would be a very handy feature to have. I think a large portion of home users would use it.
Since Astaro is aimed at corporate buyers I doubt the likelihood of it being added. [:(]
