Cannot Get Astaro to Load on a Proliant 2500

Howdy All...

I'm currently searching for a repacment for my aged ipcop box, and I've stumbled accross this installation, I downloaded and burnted the iso on a cd, thrown in in the prepaired proliant (Dual PP200/128mb/4x4gb Raid 5/Various Network Cards (Some Intels/Dlink something/3com)

When it comes time to start the installation it gets as far as booting the initrd.sng package and freezes the server at about 2 lines of '.....'s

It seems to be related to the smart 2 dh controller card that installed, but I've tried it with a smart 2 p and a smart 2 e compaq raid controller and it still causes drama's

Has anyone got some sage advice on getting this beasty working, it would be appreciated!

    Astaro is a great product, but on that PP200 it will run like a dog.  The processors are too slow, you don't have enough RAM, and the hard drives are on the small side.  Sorry, but you can only squeeze so much life out of old iron.  We frequently use Dell Poweredge 400SC servers for ASL, they're inexpensive, run quietly, and perform very well.  You might want to try the same.
