Is Manual Up2date Possible?

I'm not sure if it is possible from the command line, but it is possible to download all the up2date packages to a client and then when astaro has been installed, open webadmin on the client,  go to the up2date section and choose "import from file"

you can get the up2date V5 packages from:

http://download.astaro.com/Astaro_Security_Linux/v5.0/up2date/

you can also click the start button in the up2date screen in webadmin to fetch them, and then apply them as normal.....

I think he is trying to avoid downloading all the up2dates seperately for each machine though, which is what would happen if you just click start.

ah, oops, yes, you're right. in that case I concur that the best route would be to download from the link already posted, and then upload from file in the up2date screen.

I don't know how I missed the import in the web browser. Even faster yet, I found I can copy the up2date files to /var/up2date. You lose the description of the up2date file, but it's even faster then the web browser. Expecially when  doing a dozen systems. Now if I could drop those files in the root of the installlation ISO, or have an option to install them from additional media during the install, then I wouldn't have to:
1)configure passwords
2)install the temporary partner license
3)factory reset
