backup *.abf backwards compat? 5->4 ?

Greetings,

I am making plans on downgrading to the most recent 4.x from 5.004 (looks like it needs more time). 

Can anyone tell me if the *.abf from v5 will feed nicely to a fresh v4 install? 

In a worst case scenario I know how to bunzip and untar the *.abf
