Harddisk for V5

Mike_H is giving you good advice. Stick with ASL v4 on your current hardware setup. That machine is never going to run ASL v5 to your satisfaction, even if you did put a larger hard drive in it.

You will need a much faster CPU, much more RAM and a bigger hard drive to get ASL v5 up and running, which means you will have to commit a different, more powerfull machine to run your firewall software on. Your current P2-233 MHz machine is only worth around $35 these days, so it is basically a throwaway.

don`t know how your car looks like - but what would you think if someone at the gas station tells you:  our petrol doesn`t work with your car. go - buy a new one - your car is basically a trowaway !

why should you buy a knew car, if you like your car and you know, it brings you from a to b  - slow but reliable ?

Why the outragous negative postings?  2 posts in as many minutes.  The above poster is using a Cyrix MII 233.  Have you had one of these??  I have, they were fine in their day, but anyone that had one knows the level 1 and 2 cache limited the cpus performance.  Too be honest I think $35 is too much.  

VelvetFrog and myself were only saying that if he decided to stick with the hardware he has, to avoid potential issues with speed and resource handeling he may want to stay on V4.
