I downloaded the home licence for V5.001 all is well exept Up2Date is expired??? It says it valid from today 04-21-2004 untill 2007 (expired) in brackets. The Up2Date page says its expired is this another "built-in" feature in the V5 version? Thanks Ryan
plz make sure that the system date is correct. The License is expired if eihter the system time is lower than the start date or higher than the end date.
This can include if your system date isn't set to the correct time zone. I had an issue once when ASL's server issued a license key valid the day they issued it, but I was in U.S. Pacific time and for me it was still "yesterday." If this is how it's working for you, as soon as you hit "tomorrow" you'll be fine. But once I told ASL box what time zone I was relative to GMT (right there in the "Time Settings" under the "System" menu) everything was cool.
I have found it's not a bad idea to set your box to an NTP server just so time stays in tune. . .depending on the reliability of your motherboard clock (and the condition of your BIOS battery) it can get pretty far out of whack pretty fast!
