Supported WLAN Cards for ASL 5 ?

Hello everybody with WLAN,
is there a list of supported Hardware, because the HCL from Astaro it self is not very informational for the topic. Which Cards you use?

I need a WLAN Card for ASL 5 to use it at home wireless.
Has anybody good or bad experience with WLAN Cards?

AFAIK the only WLAN cards supported are prism 1-3 chipsets.

That is correct, you need a PCMCIA (No PCI support for WLAN) card with a Prism compatible chipset.

I found the thing with PCMCIA in HCL 4.7 but what cards are supported? Which vendors? Level One, D-Link, Digitus, 3Com,....? I need a cheap card, because I need it only for home use.

you have to research your cards to see what wlan chipset it uses. There are quite a few out there but only the ones mentioned earlier are supported. What is easier is i just bought a wireless access point and am using that. Plus ASL's encryption only supoprts WEP instead of the newer WPA.

Please check HCL 5.0 for Wireless PCMCIA Cards here.

I recommend using Netgear MA401
