.ASL4.017 runs fine on my hardware.
-> Gigabyte 6BX-C, PIII-550, 192MB RAM, 20GB HDD, 2 3C905C.
Due to some postings in this forum I wanted to install V5 on VIA C3 equipment and bought a V10000 which was supposed to work with ASL. But it does NOT. It installs, but the first reboot claims missing a CPU-feature. ASL stops booting. Tried the 'classic'-option with no luck. I do not know why some people say Epia Hardware would be supported by V5 [:S]
A bit frustrated of buying the Epia-Board I got my good old Asus P2B which I foiund on the HCL for ASL4, Plugged in a Celeron 400, 128MB RAM and a 10GB IBM HDD.
Installing 5.000 (and 5.001) worked fine until rebooting. The first run hangs after a few seconds during the boot process...
Same on a Compaq P3-800.
Same on 4.017 (4.021) running 6BX-C.
Conclusion-> Stange error with install CD.
Solution-> Downloaded and burned it again.
New situation -> Old situation. Boot error stays the same
