How can I change the mtu size of the pppoe connection, it is 1492 right now, and for my service provider it needs to be 1454 or else there are problems. How can I change it using V4?
normally the mtu will be negotiated during the PPP procedure - my ISP needs 1454 too (freenet.de) but i don't have to care about it since it is set correctly without manually intervention.
To cut a long story short: You can modify /var/chroot-pppoe/etc/ppp/options - add 'mtu 1454' (without the ticks) somewhere on top of the file.
