have the same problem.

ASL 5.001 never reconnect after disconnect.
on Version 4 i have disabled my DSL Interface and enabled it again and my DSL reconnected.

But if i do this on ASL 5 there is no reaction. my DSL Interface is DOWN. Only after the reboot it works again.
