Adding a NIC to an existing install...?

Hi everyone,

I've recently desided to add a third NIC to my asl 4.021 box in order to create  a DMZ. I don't really want to re-install and was wondering if I could hear some stories (successfull or not) about adding a 3rd NIC to an existing install.

I haven't added the card yet but here are some details about my setup:

192.168.0.0/28
ADSL as WAN link
all proxies on
----------------------------
PII 350 w/512MB 40gig IDE
2 x Realtek 3189C (the 3rd nic would also be a 3189C)

P.S> the box has been up and running smooth for almost a year. Which is why I'd rather add a card than re-install even though I have full configence the re-install would go off without a hitch.

    I would suggest using a /24 netmask (255.255.255.0), which gives you a full class "C" with 256 addresses. Since it is private address space in behind a masquerading router (NAT), there is no need to be skimpy.
