WLAN via VPN using an access point

I want to connect a WLAN-access point via ASL 4 or 5  to a wired network. I want to  enter the network from WLAN via VPN. Does anyboy know any problems around ASL about this solution?

    I am on such a connection right now. I have the WAN side of my SMC  Barricade model SMC7004VWBR Wi-Fi router connected to the DMZ network on my ASL v4 box. Although I have 128-bit WEP encryption enabled on the Wi-Fi circuit, I don't trust it to be secure enough, so I run PPTP with 128-bit encryption over the Wi-Fi link. Inside the PPTP tunnel, I run Microsoft's RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), which is also encrypted. This setup allows me to securely remote control my main WinXP pro machine from my laptop anywhere around the house.

    I didn't have to do anything special on my ASL box to get this setup to work. It was basically a no-brainer, I just connected the wireless router to the DMZ network and then opened a PPTP tunnel to the DMZ interface on the ASL box from my Wi-Fi enabled laptop.
