Disappearing network interfaces

I installed a fresh image of v5 and configured the web interface, added packet filter rules and masquerading. I then started to pass traffic on 3 interfaces just fine. After a reboot the only interface that appears is the loopback. I tried manually starting the interfaces to no avail. I checked out the modules.conf file and everything there is right. Any ideas?

    3COMs have given me grief in the past; would you happen to have another NIC you could try, or are those integrated?

    Tried 3 D-Link NICs today and the same problem appeared. Anyone else have any thoughts on this one?

    It could be that your problem is caused by shared interrupt vectors. For routers, it is best that every Ethernet card has its own IRQ that is not shared with any other device.

    Take the machine down and check your PC Bios.  Every Ethernet card should be on its own IRQ. If several devices share the same IRQ, disable stuff that you don't need when running ASL, such as onboard sound, the serial ports and the printer port. This will free up a few interrupt vectors for you. You may also have to rearrange your PCI cards. When the Bios bootup info shows on the screen, verify that each of the Ethernet cards are now on a separate IRQ.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it, but the interesting thing is this is the same box including all hardware that has run Astaro since version 3.2. 

    I will try it and post the results.
