I'm having a strange problem I was hoping to find help for. Basically I set up Astaro on this network fine, everyone can get out, DHCP and NAT is working fine, people can VPN in all is right with the world. Only once an hour or so, random people on the network can't get out anymore. Everyone is setup the same, everyone gets their IP from a healthy address pool. There are only seven client machines and I have allotted 30 IPs in a range. When the connection is dropped I can't even access the Webmin page anymore, it's like it just times out. I'll walk away for a few minutes, then when I come back it's fine. I can be in the middle of doing something in webmin and it drops, or I'm surfing and it drops. It's really driving me crazy. I went as far as using a whole new machine, with brand new cards. I've been using 3.x and I even upgraded to 4.x and I'm STILL having these issues. Anyone come across anything like this? Please help I'm losing my marbles.

    You will have to do some detective work yourself to get a handle on this issue. What does the various ASL logs tell you?

    Under Reporting, what do you see for CPU utilization, memory utilization and swap file usage?

    How much RAM do you have in the machine?  Is it enough?
