I'm going nuts with a really minor issue on ASL on my home machine. . .I'm hoping someone can clue me in here! I have set up my home box, ASL 4.021, with a PPPOE connection to SBC's DSL. I've given the machine a hostname that shares the sbcglobal.net domain of my DSL, and I've put the same name into the WebAdmin Site Certificate. However, when I try to access WebAdmin, I get this error:
The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site.
I'm able to tell the system to ignore this error and proceed, but even if I import the cert into my browser I still get the error popping up when I try to log in.
I've set up three other ASL boxes, one PPPOE, and two with static IP, and I THINK I'm doing the same thing on my home box that succeeded on all the other three. [:(]
Would somebody please tell me what I'm missing here?
