HELP SETTING UP interfaces in ASTARO 4

Ok so i finally have astaro 4 installed and I am able to get into the web interface, now I am stuck. 
what I have done so far:
1 Added my second nic card as external , standard interface type and dhcp for everything (cable broadband) enabled it, saved it

2 enabled  Dhcp , set range , what do i put for dns server and gateway ip? the address of the router?

My external interface shows enabled but down, what are they next steps i need to do to get this all set up and my external interface up?

All i want right now is a dhcp router and firewall for 4 pcs.

Can you access the Internet ? you have to click on the green button to enable the external_interface. You also need to make a packet filter rule to allow access from inside your lan to the internet.  

From Client : Internal_Interface  Service: Any    
To Server: Any    Action: Allow

I cannot accesss the internet, my external interface is enble but down
I made a packet filter rule as stated above

what else would make my external interface down? it should be getting a ip,dns server  and a gateway from my ISP right?

Have you set config for external interface to get ip from dhcp server?

Please post more information about your DSL ?   

I do have the external set for dhcp on all , i am using comcast cable as my isp 

OK, when I understand that right, than you have a router, which is connected to the internet on the one interface and to the Astaro on the other one.
The router get an IP from your provider. 
The external IF of the firewall should have a static privat IP in the same  net as the routers internal IF.
The router should be the default gateway for the ASL box.
