special setup for ASL4

I am using at the moment m0n0wall instead of ASL 4/5. This is a firewall based on FreeBSD which runs from CD.
With m0n0wall I can receive on the "WAN-setting" DHCP a dynamic IP-adress from my provider. If I set this IP as static on the "WAN-setting" PPTP together with my username, password and 10.0.0.138 as modem-IP any PC from my internal network has got access to the internet!
The same trick on ASL 4 or 5 does NOT work. If the external network is set to  DHCP it receives  an IP but I can´t get access to the internet from internal network .
IPCop 1.4 which is in BETA-status at the moment is able to setup a pptp-connection with a dynamic adress for the connection to the modem. This works together with  my provider!! Please look at the german-spoken forums http://xdsl.at or www.ipcop-forum.de with the keywords Inode and/or xdsl_at_home or watch www.ipcop.org and www.m0n0.ch
I want to use ASL because I think the "professional" part which is not free available makes ASL more save for home-users that use it for free.

I would say, that you are receiving an IP-adress that is private, because the zyxel 650 is a router which makes nat for you. There is no need for you to have a firewall because nobody can access any of your computers behind this router. Maybe inode is able to change this configuration but I guess this costs extra.

This is one of the reason why I didn't want to change to inode and consider VoIP because I was afraid this would be like that.

This is not entirely true. A NAT device is NOT a firewall. A firewall does more than MASQ. There's stateful inspection of the packets, and a LOT more that a real firewall does that a router is simply not designed for.

I have read in some postings that some changes in files may Astaro work together with PPTP with dynamic Adress like Inode xDSL@home. What do I have to change in which file?
