Help With Install 3 NICS

Ok, I have been trying to install this software across my network for 2 weeks now working on it as I have time. I have the following 
Internal Subnet (admin) 192.168.2.0
DMZ Subnet 192.168.3.1
then external interface....

when I connect the cable from ASL eth3 to a switch that goes to my 2 redhat boxes and configure both my redhat boxes with 192.168.3.8 and 192.168.3.9 and I set the gateway in the redhat boxes to the nic address in the ASL box 192.168.3.1 I get network unreachable I cannot ping the 192.168.3.1 address only thing I get is a ping to the addess that the machine is on such as I can ping its own network card but I am not getting to the eth3 in the ASL why ? 

What am I doing wrong .... any help would be appreciated..... I orginally had a 2 nic setup and it was suggested to me that go to a 3 nic setup and I did now I have this problem.....Arrrrgggggggg

    Ok I am pinging from the linux machines respectivley 192.168.3.8 is one and 192.168.3.9 is the other I can go to another box from the 192.168.2.0 subnet and ping 192.168.3.1 but cannot get past that.... If pinging from the linux machines I can only ping just that machine which is its own card... NOWHERE else... It has me a bit boggled as I know these cards are good I just had them up working on the 192.168.1.0 subnet before it was suggested that I go to a 3 card layout with a DMZ for the servers. 

    Also I have 4 network cards in the firewall and because I have installed and reinstalled I have used eth3 as my 192.168.3.0 subnet I had it on eth2 but after a reinstallation I wanted to be sure that it was not the network card it'self and its not does the exact same thing.... as eth2 did. I have set the subnet on 192.168.3.0 to 255.255.255.0 that is on the ASL... On the linux box the ip is set staticly to 192.168.3.8 and the subnet of 255.255.255.255 and the gateway is 192.168.3.1 which is the ethernet card in the firewall ? 

    See anything wrong ?

    Ok well here is a little update, While typing my last message (tail between legs) I noticed while typing this out thinking about it I answered my own question .... the subnet was incorrect... as soon as I changed that I mysterouisly had a connection. It's amazing how those simple little things when you get frustrated make it even harder when you are banging your head .....
