Cannot log in via WebAdmin

Hi,
I have installed ASL and everything went smoothly and I was up and running in 10 minutes or so. Suddenly I lost the connection via WebAdmin  and I'm not able to connect since.
Is loading just few things (the fields where to put the username and password but not the button to press Login) in the Internet Explorer or Mozilla and then it stops.

I searched in this forum about this issue but unable to find an answer.

    You didn't change network settings just before you lost connectivity?

    Logs are in /var/log; you could log on to console and have a look using less...

    I did change the network settings by adding(configuring)  the external interface.  I set up that interface with Internet IP address, gateway, dns info -- all from my ISP. 
    Now, I did re-installed the ASL again, and without configuring anything, I just entered the passwords for webadmin, loginuser and root.
    Again I lost connectivity without being able to connect back via webmin.
    This time, as I said I didn't change anything anywhere.

    What could be wrong?

    The machine is an old F5 Big-Ip with PentiumII 350Mhz, 128 RAM, 10Gb HDD IDE and two different network cards , both recognized by ASL -- Intel Corp.EtherExpress PRO/100+ and a 3Com Corporation3c905 100BaseTX [Boomerang]. One (Intel) is assigned IRQ 10 (therefore it will be eth0 - internal) and the other one IRQ11 (eth1 - external).
    The IP address of eth0 is in 177.1.x.x/255.255.0.0 range and the external one is having Internet IP address/netmask although is not yet hooked up to the cable modem. 

    Where I can revert back the configuration, inside of the box, if I need to? 
    Say I change something which will lock me out from the system (webadmin) and I want to change it back  from the console.

    Just for laughs, use a different numbered network for your internal network other than 177; a private one like 192 or 172 or 10; and of course change the machine you are accessing it from to that new private network number.

    There is a password reset feature, but sounds like that is not the problem. There probably is a duplication of network numbers on the interfaces. If you went through the logs you'd probably see that...

    I assigned 177.1.x.x/255.255.0.0 to internal (eth0) and 24.97.13x.x /255.255.255.240 to the external (eth1) after I reinstalled ASL. 
    It seems that IRQ assignment is VERY important. 
    In previous installation I was doing it vice-versa (I was assigning the internal interface to -eth1- and external one to - eth0-) and for this reason maybe ASL got confused and when I started to enable things like spam, virus, etc it denied access to webadmin.

    The problem is now gone.

    It sometimes seems to get confused at install as to which NICs are which; in fairness to Astaro, this can be due to hardware manufacturers doing 'weird' things.

    After an install I always do a ping from the console and plug in network connections one at a time to confrirm what's what...
