3Com NIC's not recognized

I have two brand new Dell machines with 3Com NIC cards that are not being recognized. This is not so much the problem as that Eth1 locks up once or twice a week. Eth1 is the WAN side of the ASL. Anyone see this before?

I am going to assume you have a router between you and the t-1? If not you need to have something that x-lates t-1(t-carrier signals) to ethernet..i forget what those are called(csu/dsu i think)..othewsie your WAN nic will never come up..
