What happens if you apply a new name to a network interface in ASL 4.0.x?
In a running configuration I need to change the name given to eth2 from "Name_XXX" to "Name_YYY" (under "Network">"Interfaces">"eth2 - edit">field Name) .
1. Will the static definitions for "Name_XXX_Broadcast_", "Name_XXX_Interface__" , and "Name_XXX_Network__" change automatically?
2. if so, will all packetfilter rules automatically change according to the name change? Or must I rewrite all packet filter rules to reflect the new name??
Since the ASL is running on a productive system, we would like to minimize downtime while changing the name.
Any thoughts?
