This is for anyone using a Magnia SG20 with ASL. (or just using a Toshiba Magnia SG20!)
The SG20 is great, except for the loud power supply, and the nosiy fans... the standard software controls the case & cpu fans, so it is a little bit better...
I love the ASL software, except it does not control the fans... so the SG20 is very loud!
Here is what I did: I replaced the power supply with a fanless model, then I used 2 Zalman Fanmate-1 on the case & cpu fans...
I bought the PW-60 ($50) , a 9" ATX extension cable ($6) and the AC/DC 12v adapter ($25)... the Fanmates were $4 each...
The PW-60 board fits quite easily in the space where the old power supply sat...
So, for around $90 U.S. plus shipping, the SG20 is now running almost sliently... I've checked the temps inside and they are well within spec....
