I am having problems. I want to replace my NICs to see if that fixes the problems. What brand and model of NICs should I buy???? 3COM??? Intel????
(The problem is this: I install, I setup NAT. It works great. I turn on HTML PROXY and it works great, um well for a short while anyway. After 1 to 3 days, I lose my connection to the Internet for 20 to 30 seconds at a time. Up for 5 mintes, down for 30 seconds, ... No errors, no warnings. If I turn off HTML PROXY it all starts working again, for weeks, forever, without fail. I turn on HTML PROXY, it works for a short while and then I lose all connections. When it is working, I can see the hits and the misses. I have LOTS of memory, CPU, and diskspace. I have even tried a different machine but I have had the same problem. I can imagine that it might be the NICs, the HUB, or the CISCO 675. Who knows. I'll try changing the NICs first. HELP!!! ANY IDEAS??????? HELP????? So I am asking what NICs are best????)
