VERSION 4.16 not working properly

I have download astaro on May of this year and I found out that it installed nicely without big problems.  A week ago I downloaded the astaro 4.16 from the internet and the following problem occured always.

I setup two ethernets only.  One to be internal and one external,  I can ping my internal interface and also I can work in webadmin, but I cannot ping the external interface.  I tried goint to the shell and ping the external interface and it ping correctly but I tried to ping something on that network and it didnot work.  I enable all the icmp rules on the router before doing anything.  Also I insert a rule any any any any allow, to check if I was doing something wrong.  Could someone tell my whats wrong with that version 4.16?

I installed back the old version I think it is 4.00 and it worked fine.

    i can't get the V4.016 working either... it blocks allmost all the packets even if i create rules to allow them i'm going crazy over this and i'm thinking about sending ASL to the trash can, it looks nice and powerful but it's giving me powerful headaches too... i even use a any any any allow rule in the packet filter but nothing it's still blocking allmost everything,i'm going crazy and strating to loos faith in ASL....
