INF 055 No valid license

Hi, I get at least 2 emails a day saying I don't have a valid lisence. I copied and pasted the license key and have double checked it is the same. The email I get sometimes have the counter error (Counter Error - please contact your vendor or support!) and sometimes don't (like today, I received one of each). Everything seems to run fine, Up2Date works, it's just the emails are a bit annoying. Any ideas?

    In which periods of time do you get the messages? If you get it every hour, you have turned on Virus Portection but you´ve no valid licence. If you get the message only one time a day, check out if your licence is realy not expired.
    Also check, if your Surf protection is enabled.

    On both of my ASL boxes I am getting the e-mail about the license violation twice every hour.

    On both boxes it lists virus and surf protection as 'disabled' under the licensing section and it does not appear to be anabled on on of the services.  The one box doesn't have any of the proxy services enabled for example.

    How to fix this error or verify the virus or surf protection is not enabled?

    I got answer from astaro support now here you have it.

    Counter Error - please contact your vendor or support!

    This is a known issue. It is just a cosmetically problem. You can ignore that.

    The reason for that email could be the automatic pattern/up2date prefetch. For example if you do not have a license that includes the virus-option the firewall tries to download pattern-updates periodically. Because of the missing virus-option in the license the firewall rejects the pattern-update and sends you a notificationemail.
    Solution: Disable automatic-pattern-update if you do not have a license that includes virusprotection.
