3com Problem

Hi all,

i have problems with 2 3com network cards.
3C905CX-TX-M 2 x 
and an older 3com thats work right.And always get the connection to my dsl router.
do anyone have a idea?

    Hi Rolf,

    if you expect constructive feedback, you should try to give more input.

    "My firewall does not work, can you help me ??" is not really informational
     

    Example: 
    Which version do you use ?
    What IS your problem with the cards ?
    What is your config ? Which card for wich eth interface ?
    What did you already try to resolve the problem ?

    Then you should get hints and support.....

    du kommst aus Deutschland oder?
    In deutsch kann ich dir es evtl. besser erklären.

    Aslo ich habe 3 Netzwerkkarten:
    1xmal 3 com
    2xmal 3com 905cx-tx-m

    Die 2 neuen 3com also die 905cx-tx-m sind bei eingetsecktem Kabel immer Orange.Und wen nich in der Firewall sie aktivieren will funktioniert das nicht.
    Ich vermute wohl die Netzwerkkarten sind defekt?Oder mache ich was falsch?

    Hi Rolf,

    if the LEDs of your 3COM NICs are orange when you plug in, they should have connect with 100MBit (green would mean 10MBit, check Hardware Manual).
    So they seem to work correct.

    You ask me: Are they fault, or am i doing something wrong ?
    My answer:
    Similar to my last post. If you don't provide (useful) information, you will get no help from this community because they are not able to help you. Please understand this.

    1. Where there error messages while installation
    2. Which version did you install
    3. What exact model is your first NIC
    4. Post your hardware, maybe it is a BIOS or IRQ problem
    ....

    I think my problem is to configure the sec network card to the lan.

    I use 4.015 amd have 2 networkcards.
    1 card is for Internet (DSL Router SMC) 
    2 card should go to a normal switch but i cant's activate these card.
    I think i configure these card wrong.

    The 1 card is Standard... and get the connection over the router to the internet.
    the 2 card should connect to the lan over an switch.

    I hope these help you.

    So how should i configute the second one?
