Hello Forum,
We want to configure ASL as a 'straight-thru' firebox that will protect 3 linux servers on a 16 IP public subnet.
I can setup the admin card & login via the web - all OK.
When I try to add a second NIC on the same 16 IP subnet - ASL hangs so badly that only a complete reinstall will allow web contact again.
Lets say the first NIC is setup as:
IP: 217.72.41.135
SN: 255.255.255.240
GW: 217.72.41.129
Works fine, now I try to add second NIC:
Have tried giving own IP (spare) and have tried using same IP, have tried with & without a Gateway IP .... always hangs as soon as I try to make it live.
Any help gratefully accepted - surely this should be a basic default install - one NIC in, another NIC out - all on the same public IP range, standard server firebox protection?
Regards,
Nico Morrison
