Installation checksum-error not reported on 4.016

Hi,

yesterday I've installed 4.016 but the installation failed during the last step, when installing ASL middleware. So I checked the installation process on console 3 and noticed that one file failed the md5-checksum test. The problem is that the installation-software reports the md5-check to be OK although an error occured, maybe Astaro should check this.
By the way, with another CD-R the installation worked fine.

Maybe there was an error that could not be regonized by a normal md5-checksum-test. That's unusual but possible.
SHA would be better but normally not necessary for that.
I think in your case it was just a coincidence.

Hi,

the MD5-checksum-test DID recognize a corrupt file (console 3). The problem was that the installation-software on console 1 reported nothing and continued with the installation.

We have tried to reproduce it but we couldn't. We have modified the installation packages without changing the md5sum textfile on CD and the installation routine failed as expected with an according error.

Hmmm, OK. Thanks for checking that, but it did definetly NOT work during my installation.
