PPPoE Not Connecting

Hello et all,

ASL 4.016 for home use.

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem I am having with verizon DSL (pppoe). I can connect fine with a pc or a pppoe enabled linksys router, but the ASL PPPoE interface will not connect.

2003-Nov  8 22:41:45 (none) pppd[29843]: Exit.
2003-Nov  8 22:41:45 (none) logger: DSL connection time shorter then 60 seconds (32 sec): Error? - wait 900 seconds

I have tried the updated pppoe driver some had suggested on another thread but that still did not help at all.

    yes have to make a mod to your config file:

    If DSL still does not work then do this:
    Login as root
    cd /var/chroot-pppoe/etc/ppp
    joe options
      add on top "default-asyncmap" (without "" of course)
      CTRL+K+X saves the file with exit (CTRL+K+H shows  a command  overview)
    reboot

    That did the trick [:)]
    The PPPoE connection came right up after adding in that one line and a reboot!
