Whats the best bridging ADSL modem?

My ADSL router has recently blown and I need to purchase a replacement, does anybody have any recommendations on the best modem to connect using the PPPOA client within Astaro? Please help as I have had to downgrade to Smoothwall and an USB modem until I can find a suitable bridging modem for Astaro.

    Hello,

    As I have learned in this forum it really comes down to what modem your ISP likes, I happend to switch between to ISPs that used the same technology and could keep my now ageing Nokia M5221 ADSL bridge which I have understood to be using ATM and neither PPPoE/A.

    I just connected it to Astaro, configured my new ISPs BOOTP server and off I went. No hassle with userid/password.

    Call their support and ask,
