Problem with ASL4.016 and Disc controller

I try to install ver 4.016 om my Dell PE650 server and installation did not find any hard drives. It seems that ver 4.016 does not have support silicon Image SIL0680 controller.
Ver 4.015 does find controller and installation works fine but I get very long loading time, that's why I thought the ver 4.016 will solve this problem. Any ideas???

    Please find out the kernel-module that is used for that device in 4.015.
    'lsmod'
    And post it.

    If the module exists in Version 4.016 too you could use the Up2Date. Then it could work with your hardware. (Probably the Up2Date will be available during next week.)

    If the module is not present in V4 please post the PCI and Vendor ID of the device.

    I'm just testing the same Hardware - Dell PowerEdge 650 and had the same experiences. This is the information the 4.015 gives me:

    The system works with 4.015 but the startup is very slow. The box has an internal 80 GB IDE HDD and take aprox. 20-30 Minutes for the filesystem checks. After booting up it looks normal till now but I didn't had the chance for a stress test.

    Anyone with PE650, please try installing in classic mode (on boot prompt after inserting CD, type 'classic' and hit return) - does this help? Please make sure your harddisk is not in a raid mode, but in standard ide mode...

    We are having the same problem with our compaq server. Astaro support has been working on. Hopefully they come up with something shortly. They have been very good about working with us, but we are having so many issues with this release. We have been told that the new release should help us, and so now we just cross our fingers.
