Does virtual interfaces "eat" the license?

Have three cards in my home box and it works nice. Started to fiddle with VLAN's on my switch, i am trying to make 8 VLAN's but some of the vlan's have a green light but are still down. I have managed to have 3 physical cards, 5 vlans and 3 vlans is down. If the virtual interfaces is breaking the license i figured none of them would work.

Are the virtual interfaces counted against the license or am i doing something wrong with my vlan configuration?

    So it seems!

    Ok, i now found the problem and it is a really STUPID bug in the middleware it seems.

    What i tried to do was to make 7 VLANS for my buddies, we share an internet connection but do not want to be able to see each others networks. We also have a "dmz" where we share a wifi accesspoint.

    I use three cards in my machine, One for DMZ, one for Internet and one for the VLANs. After configuring the switch and assign VLANS to it i started to configure the interfaces for internet, DMZ and set up the different VLAN's. Here is where my troubles started.

    Depending on wich VLAN i was creating the corresponding it ould eather work fine or being down without even be defined in the "definitions" with IP, Netowrk Name etc. First i believed this was a license issue, then i started refreshing my knowledge on VLANS to see if something was wrong there. (Someone suggested here a MTU of 1496 was to reccomend).
    After scrathcing my head i found out this:

    No VLANS that succeeds a interface with DHCP will work!
    Since the interfaces is sorted in the middleware in Ascending order by name, all my VLANS with a name after "I" in the alphabet (my internet NIC named "Internet") would not work.
    Solution to this problem is to name the Internet interface "ZInternet", making it last in the list and PRESTO. 

    My VLANS works fine now.
