Astaro boot fails and 1's and 0's appear

Hi

I have just tried to install Astaro 4.008 on a spare pc and it goes through the installation routine fine, but then after the restart it refuse to boot.

It appears to detect all my hardware correctly.

(30GB Seagate HD, 256MB RAM, Athlon 1.2Ghz, Intel 100 Pro network card, ATi Rage Pro XL, Generic 52x CD-ROM)

The error i get is that the screen fills up with 1's and 0's which scroll across the screen at quite a pace.

I have tried changing my hard disk settings to normal and I have tried changing the bios settings down to failsafe.

Does anybody have any idea what causes this error?

What's your BIOS hard disk settings?

My hard disk is set to auto, and I was going to set it to normal but there isnt the option.

I only have Auto, Large, CHS and LBA.

I guess go through them; I'd try Large next.

I'm not saying that's it, but that's all we got to work with right now, short of swapping hardware components...
