Problem with lilo ??

Can anyone say me, how i can modify lilo.conf at a ASL 4.0, because off appending parameters for HW at boot time.

modify /emergency/boot/etc/lilo.conf and activate your new settings
with the command 'lilo -r /emergeny/boot' .
