Will Astaro V4 run on VIA EPIA motherboards?

I'm looking at getting a VIA EPIA mini-ITX motherboard to run Astaro V4, maybe an M5000, M7000, or M10000. Since the chips (C3, Eden, Nehemiah, and the like) are somewhat unique, I'd like to find out if they will run Astaro V4 correctly. In addition, if anyone knows if the built-in LAN will work, I'd appreciate hearing about that, too.

Thanks,

Craig

  • Find out which network chipset that board uses then lookup hte chipset in the HCL at http://docs.astaro.org.  If it is not there is probably won't work..you can also try instlaling ASL and seeing if it works..sometimes drivers will pick up things in ways not anticipated..[:)]
