It seams to be not possible to install ASL 4 on a Sun V65x. The drivers for the AIC79xx are in the currently available stable kernels but ASL does not support this SCSI controller during the boot/installation process. It is an AIC 7902.
Is there any possibility to change the kernel of the booting installation system and the system which wil be installed? (via mounting the ISO e.g. and then use a newer kernel?)
When will the AIC79xx be supported by ASL?
Or did we just miss some boot options etc. which could solve the problem?
