Unknown problem with Astaro v4.012 on MMX 200MHz

I have installed Astaro v4.012 on a Pentium MMX 200MHz with 64 MB RAM.
Normally the RAM usage is about 30-40MB, but in the night, when the Astaro is rotating log files and so on, I am receiving a bunch of mails about low memory. This is not happening during the day.

I ahve three NICS, one internal, one external and one Dmz.

When I start a FTP-transfer from Dmz to Internal, the speed is about 5,6MByte/sec (I guess that this is max speed for a Pentium MMX 200MHz?) for a couple of seconds. But suddenly the interface brakes down. I can ping the Dmz interface, but not the computer on the Dmz lan. After some time, the Astaro crashes and reboot.

I can still surf the web until the machine crashes. 

Could this be a memory problem?

    Yes, it seems that way. An extra 64MB (or even 128MB) would do no harm [:)]

    here on my ASL box with the http proxy on transparent..the memory cache at 0 and the file size limit at 100 megs(via some custom hacking)..i ahve the pop3 file extension scanner blocking around 25 types of attachments..2 nics and 5 users the machine has 196 megs of ram and routinely uses around 120 megs on the average...i have seen a spike as high 150-160 however..if i remember correctly the specs are for a minimum of 128 megs..

    I upgraded the RAM to 160MB. When I was doing that I think (I cant remember) that the IDE-cable was connected to IDE device 2 on the motherboard. I changed to IDE device 1 after RAM upgrade.

    Now it has been running the whole weekend without any errors!!
