I was trying to make use of the "Backup" feature in Astaro 4. I backup the configuration and wipe the Astaro system.
Then I reinstall Astaro 4.
When I try to "Import backup", it keeps on asking me to enter the "Passphrase".
I am 100% sure I never encrypt the backup file.
I call the support and they insist that I encrypted my backup file.
Finally, I found what's wrong.
After I backup the file and I save it on my Windows XP desktop, I rename is to "fw-01 backup before switching HD xxx.xx.xxx.xxx.abf". I think that must be something related to the "white space" or the "dot" in the file name.
After I rename it to "backup.abf" and everyone went smooth.
I just want to let people know this behavior.
I hope Astaro can enhance the software to give a better "error message".
It is kind of frustrating when a person expect the restore works and it turn out it keep on asking a "Passphrase" they never intend to use.
It would be nice if it actually give an error message like "unknown file" or "invalid file name format"
I hope this message will help others since I have never seen anyone report this problem before.
