iso image

I have burned the Astaro v.4 iso image to CD using Easy CD Creator and I am having problems getting it to boot.  I think my Easy CD Creator parameters might be incorrect.  Does anyone have instructions on how to do this?

    always worked for me

    Second the Nero recommendation -- it's what we use here in the shop for just about all CD burning.  But back to your problem with booting ... make sure that your CDROM drive is properly positioned in the boot order in your motherboard BIOS.  Typically, a good option is to set the boot sequence to floppy, CDROM, Hard Drive.  In any event, make sure that your CDROM is ahead of your hard drive in the boot sequence.  Another possibility is that the CDROM drive in the PC is either defective or is old enough that it can't read CD-R discs reliably.  Another possibility is that you burned the ISO to a CD-RW disc instead of a CD-R.  CD-RW discs are notoriously finicky -- avoid them whenever possible for creating your Astaro boot discs.

    3rd the nero... Easy CD has been known to mess up ISO's..... IF you don't like Nero you can also try CDRWin
