After extensive testing in our Lab we have discovered that the above listed Mainboard is buggy. After approximately 20 minutes the system will freeze completely.
Strange is this bug only surfaces when an ASL installation CD 4.008+ is used. Applying the Patches 4.009 or 4.010 do not fix the problem.
We did discover a somewhat strange workaround that appears to work, however we are not able to explain it.
If you install the ASL Software from a CD with Version 4.000 and apply all the patches up to 4.010 then the system does appear to be stable.
Our test only involved installing the ASL Software, the configuration of 1 network card, and doing an Up2date to retrieve the patches. No other configuration / options were activated.
We first noticed this after one of our customer machines hard drive crashed and we reinstalled with a 4.008 CD. Our customer has Virus and Surf Protection activated, with 3 network interfaces.
I dont believe it has anything to do with options or the ASL software itself, however I cant confirm this.
