Dell Latitude C800

I have a spare Dell Latitude C800 laptop that I'd like to use with Astaro. I will be using the built-in 10/100 NIC plus the 10/100 NIC in a docking station.  The C800 meets the minimum HW requirements by quite a bit, but I get a crash after selecting the keyboard type (4.008).  The system locks up completely at that point so I can't find out what is causing the problem.  I've tried both methods of booting the kernel but both exhibit the same problem.  Is there anything else I can try?

    Try building it outside of the docking station (add a NIC to the PCCard slot for the second enet temporarily).  The docking bays tend to be complex for most UNIX-like OS's to understand (even windoze has trouble with the Dell docking station that I experienced).
