Quad port alternatives.

We ended up ditching the quad port DE-570 and going with a single GigE interface (Desktop Intel card works just fine) and 802.1q tagged VLAN's. While we lose port redundancy, speed and cable count to the rack have reduced substantially due to this change (less cabling to the switch, etc.), and we've been able to increase the number of networks as a direct result. Note, I still have two 10/100 interfaces built into the box (Dell PE 350)

Unless you can get Astaro to utilize the Quad port in a failover/bandwidth agregation method, you're probably not a whole lot better off with 4 100mbit ports vs. a single GigE if you have other ports available on the box.

I've used the Compaq NC3131 (2-port) with the NC3132 daughter card (which adds two more ports) in a variety of machines with no problems.

What version do you run(4.x/5x) and do you know the model number of the card. I asked our dealer for the if he could get the ANA-64044TX and he said he can only find ANA-64044LV.  Is there a difference?
