ASL 4.010 + D-Link DFE-580TX -> Stop responding

We found that the quad dlink lancard stop responding to the network under high traffic (5mb or so)... It uses the sundance driver and i read the other sundance threads....

Any idea about this issue (this card is a very common configuration for firewalls [and it works great with RH+FW1]) ?

    this card is not worth the money you have paid for. We had a lot off error reports like yours. We are using the latest driver sources so it is pretty clear to us that there must be a problem with this card. For me it looks like that  D-Link has big quality problems (component tolerance???) . We were wondering why this card was announced on the US market but was very quickly revoked [:S]oney.

    Thanks for the answer .. next time i'll try to avoid that card (however it works well using RH Kernel + FW1)...

    Please also note that you are not using the latest driver...
    ASL4.010 is using sundance.c:v1.10 11/17/2002
    while on this url http://www.scyld.com/network/sundance.html you'll find sundance.c:v1.11 2/4/2003

    Can you provide a new kernel module with the updated driver ?

    PS: About the market revocation.. are you talking of the DFE-580TX (which should be a tulip based card) or of the DFE-580TX (which is a sundance card) ?

    Hello together,

    I am a German guy. I am sorry for my bad English.

    So my Problem was that I have the  D-Link DFE-580TX Card and I have install that Card into my Firewall.

    The LED's glow up. But The Card doesn't work. I think that the driver doesn't work.

    But i search an PCI Card with 2 Ports or 4 Ports and it must work with ASTARO V8.

    Have somebody an good Card? 10 /100 (or 1000 base)
