I have a very low end config to protect my 2 computers at home. It's just a compaq p100 with 80MB of RAM. I have been running Astaro for some time, and it seems to work flawlessly in practical use. However, I have the follwoing issues. I'm currently running 3.2.19 although the 3.2.09 original install had the same issues:
After an hour or so, the web admin stops responding. I cannot access anything.
About the same period of time, if I don't leave the system logged in to the shell as root I won't be able to log in from the command line either. After a few hours the message:
INIT: id "su" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 min" shows up on the display , repeating about ever 5 min I guess (I have not timed it).
If I leave it logged in, I can try and do something from the command line. But I can't get even a ps command in becasue it crashes, apparently (not sure if that is by design), so I don't know what ID to restart httpd for instance. I'm no linux expert though.
If it's not logged in, once it starts the "su" disabled message it means it, and I won't be able to log in at all. Anyone have any idea what the cause might be? I have reinstalled 3.2 several times with no luck fixing this issue. Today I tried to go to 2.0, but that didn't seem to want to boot, and I don't seem to have a big enough hd for 4.0.
Any ideas? If I want to change anything with the config, i have to reboot the firewall.
