Upgrading 2.3 to 4

Is it possible to use the abf of an old  2.3 server to configure a 4 (or 3.2) server? 

I have a backup of a 2.3 server. That server is fried now and I want to use this opportunity to upgrade it to version 4. If that's not possible then I have to find the 2.3 install and reload it that way.

    Let me tell something. There is no way to restore a abf version 2 into version 4, but...

    ABF files are tar.b2z files so if you rename the file and use bzip2 and tar you can access the contents. Now... many files are compatible so what I did was getting those files from the ASTARO 2 backup file and putting them into ASTARO 4. The files I found compatible are: netdata (Network Definitions), gnetdata (Network Group Definitions), servicedata (Network services definitions), gservicedata (Network services group definitions), localusers.ini (Users definitions) and packetdata (firewall rules).

    Now you need to enter those files after you define all those files need, as an example, you cannot refer a interface if you didn't configure the interface yet.

    I save a lot of typing (clicking) during the migration but if you are not a hacker just install ASTARO 2 migrate to ASTARO 3 and then migrate to ASTARO 4 which is the standard procedure.
