hi,

someone tried this yet:

replacing a single port nic (3c509)  with an dual 3c982-txm? i have to add a dmz to our network. 

i do not want to reinstall the whole box.

    the 3c982-txm is not specifically listed on the HCL, however I would expect it to work. What you have to do after you install the new NIC, you need to edit /etc/modules.conf to register the new alias ethX
