Super slow computer response-HTTP seems/High CPU U

PLease...after trying to upgrade 3.219 to 4...this did not work. Anyway, got version 4 installed and rebuilt firewall (very frustrating people-upgrade should always work and be almost seemless-Well this is not Windows world-must remember). Browser will just stoip responding...actually all network activity. I am not sure exactly what is casusing this, but from the list here it will have something to do withHTTP Proxy not working properly and some other issues. PLease help here, I cannot have an unreliable fiorewall and HTTP connection to the outside world.   [:S]

    providing some more information would be helpful [;)]

    Please check the interfaces for dropped packets or any kind
    of errors -> WebAdmin:Reporting/Network - especially the IRQ
    settings are interesting.

    Which is your ASL version exactly, version information can be
    found in the lower left corner of your browser.

    Which type of network cards are installed?
