Installation stops at INIT 2.78 ...

The topic says all. The installation-medium is ok.

Athlon XP 2100+, nForce Chipset on MSI Board, 1 NIC onboard, 1 NIC Netgear, 40 GB IBM IDE-HD. 

Astaron runs on other machines very fine.

Who can help me to identify the problem?

    After many tests I found the problem.

    The Onboard LAN Interface was enabled. I switched off, and the astaro runs. 

    The Next Problem was the netgear NIC. I changed the NIC into two  RTL8139 compatible Cards -> Astaro runs very fine.

    Mayby this helps someone else ...

    I had a similar issue, but with an HP Proliant Dl360-G3.  What I did to resolve the issue was to delete the logical drive, and then recreate it.  After the reboot, the installation went without incident.

    Be carefull with the RTL8139!

    I had some probs with it using it on my DSL Interface.
    I am know using a leased line with a netopia Router and there are no Problems anymore!

    Seems to be a problem only with DSL-Connections.
